What is a refurbished iPhone?

A refurbished iPhone is an iPhone that has been previously used and undergone technical inspection before being resold. Compared to a used iPhone bought from a private individual, it has three differences: warranty, documented verification and a responsible company handling the sale.

Lower budget: a functional iPhone at the best price

To start, the iPhone 11 (from 167.99 €) and the iPhone 12 (from 197.99 €) they are good entry points. The iPhone 12 combines 5G, OLED screen and a more recent design; the iPhone 11 has dual camera and Face ID.

What do the condition grades mean?

The grade describes the iPhone’s exterior. Functional condition is shown separately on each unit’s product page, where any specific imperfections are also described.

• Grade Premium: impeccable condition, no visible marks
• Grade A: excellent, small imperceptible marks
• Grade AB: very good, light signs of use
• Grade B: good, signs of use on the casing
• Grade BC: acceptable, more noticeable marks
• Grade C Plus: functional, moderate visible marks
• Grade C: functional, significant marks, best price

Refurbished iPhone vs new vs used: what's the difference?

The difference between refurbished and used boils down to one word: security. A refurbished iPhone from iOutlet comes with a warranty, technical verification and invoice. What to consider before buying

In most cases a refurbished iPhone is a good purchase, but there are factors to weigh:

• Battery: a used battery has some wear compared to a new one. At iOutlet it is tested with professional diagnostic software, and the spec sheet indicates the condition
• Older models: the iPhone 11 and XR still work well, but software support ends sooner. To last more years, choose an iPhone 13 or newer
• Camera: base models from previous generations take poorer photos than current flagship models. If photography matters, look at the Pro models

Does the battery on a refurbished iPhone last well?

Is the refurbished iPhone iCloud locked?

Does the refurbished iPhone receive iOS updates?

Yes, the same updates as a new iPhone of the same model: Apple does not distinguish between new and refurbished. As a rule, Apple provides 5 to 6 years of major iOS updates and around 2 more years of security patches (Macworld).

Can I pay in instalments?

Does the warranty change with the grade?

No. The warranty depends on the product line: 24 months on refurbished and 18 months on used. The grade only describes the appearance.

What happens if the iPhone arrives faulty?

You have 14 days to return without justification. After that, the warranty covers functional faults: email us and we will follow the warranty process.
