1. Data controller

2. Data we may process

Depending on your use of the site, we may process:

  • identification and contact details, such as name, email and telephone number;
  • billing and delivery addresses and tax details provided for the invoice;
  • account data, orders, payments, deliveries, returns and warranties;
  • if you choose to sign in with Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon or Klarna, the data that service sends us (see section 4);
  • messages sent to customer support;
  • technical and usage data, such as IP address, device, browser, security logs and cookie preferences;
  • the optional answer, at order confirmation, about how you heard about iOutlet.

The data required to authorise a payment is processed within the selected provider's flow. iOutlet does not need to receive the full card number to process the order.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process data to:

  • create and manage the account and process the purchase, including payment, invoicing, delivery, returns and warranty;
  • comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations;
  • respond to support requests and protect the website, accounts and transactions against abuse or fraud;
  • measure and improve the operation of the website and know which channels orders come from;
  • send marketing communications by email, SMS or WhatsApp where a legal basis exists, including consent when required.

Depending on the purpose, processing is based on the performance of the contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interest or consent, in accordance with Article 6 of the GDPR.

4. Recipients

Data may be disclosed, to the extent necessary, to service providers supporting payments, invoicing, delivery, hosting, security, support, email and message sending (SMS and WhatsApp) and website analytics. They may also be disclosed to public authorities when required by law.

When a search on the website returns no results, the search text is sent to TypeSafe AI, Inc., in the United States, which classifies it to suggest a product category. Only that text is sent, without the IP address, cookies or any other identifier, and searches containing an email address or long numbers are not sent at all. According to its own privacy policy, TypeSafe does not use this data to train models.

When a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is subject to the applicable mechanism provided for in the GDPR.

Sign in with Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon or Klarna. If you choose to create an account or sign in through one of these services, that service confirms your identity and sends us your account identifier with that service, your name and email address. With Google and Facebook we also receive your profile photo, which we store as your account image. With Apple you can hide your email: in that case we receive an address created by Apple that forwards our messages to your email. With Klarna we also receive your phone number and billing address, which we use to fill in the billing and delivery details of your account. We use this data to create and manage your account and to sign you in, based on performance of the contract. We do not request access to your contacts or your posts, we do not post anything on your behalf and we do not store the access tokens the service provides. The service you choose processes the data on its side as a controller, in accordance with its own privacy policy, and learns that you have signed in to iOutlet. You can stop using this access at any time: set a password through the lost-password link on the sign-in page and then sign in with your email, and remove iOutlet access in your Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon or Klarna account settings.

Instalment payment with Klarna. If you choose to pay with Klarna while logged into your iOutlet account, we share with Klarna, at the moment of payment authorisation, an internal account identifier, the registration date and the date of the last account change, and a summary of purchases already paid for by that account: number of purchases, total value, payment method and dates of the first and last purchase. Klarna uses this data to assess the instalment payment request. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in facilitating the approval of the payment method you have chosen and is limited to purchases from that account. If you prefer that we do not send this information, complete the purchase without being logged in or choose another payment method. Klarna processes this data as a controller, in accordance with its own privacy policy.

5. Retention

We retain data for the period necessary for the purpose that justified its collection and for the additional periods required by legal, tax and accounting obligations, warranty, dispute resolution or the defence of rights. We delete server technical logs after 90 days.

When processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Necessary cookies support essential site functions. The remaining cookies depend on the options presented in the consent manager. See the page on the use of cookies for more information and to change your choices.

7. Your rights

Where applicable, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability or objection. You may also withdraw consent where that is the legal basis for processing.

To exercise a right, write to [email protected] and provide sufficient information for us to identify the request. We may ask for additional details where necessary to verify your identity.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

8. Updates

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the website, providers or legal obligations. The date shown at the top identifies the published version.
