Why choose a refurbished iPhone 15 Pro Max?

Refurbished, the iPhone 15 Pro Max costs under €1,000. When it launched, the price started at 1 499 €. At iOutlet, you will find from 624.99 €.

It is the first iPhone with titanium (lighter and more durable than stainless steel), the first with 5x optical zoom on the camera and the first with USB-C at USB 3 speed (20x faster than Lightning). With the A17 Pro chip, it runs AAA games and AI features that previous models cannot.

Who is the refurbished 15 Pro Max for?

• Photographers and videographers: 5x optical zoom, ProRes 4K, Log encoding, macro
• Gamers: A17 Pro with ray tracing, runs Resident Evil Village and Assassin's Creed natively
• Power users: USB 3 for fast transfers, up to 1 TB of storage
• Anyone who wants the best: no compromises on camera, screen, battery or performance

Technical specifications

Saving: over 800 € compared to the original price.

Refurbished iPhone 15 Pro Max prices

Available colours: Black (Black Titanium), White (White Titanium), Grey (Natural Titanium) and Blue (Blue Titanium). Capacities of 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB.

Grade C starts at 624.99 € and Grade A or Premium at 757.99 €: the difference lies in the exterior appearance, as shown in the table above. With a titanium body, marks are more subtle but also harder to conceal with a case.

Does titanium make a difference?

Yes, in two concrete respects:

1. Weight: the iPhone 15 Pro Max weighs 221 g, 17 g less than the 14 Pro Max (240 g). It may not sound like much, but on a phone you use for hours every day, you feel it
2. Durability: Grade 5 titanium is more resistant to scratches and impacts than stainless steel. It is the same titanium used in the aerospace industry

Visually, the brushed titanium finish is more discreet and sophisticated than the polished steel of previous models. It shows fewer fingerprints.

5x zoom: what changes in practice

The iPhone 15 Pro Max was the first iPhone with 5x optical zoom (120mm equivalent). What this means in practice:

• Concerts and events: you get sharp photos of the stage even from far away
• Nature and travel: zoom in on details of buildings, animals or distant landscapes
• Portraitswith the 120 mm lens you can capture portraits with natural background compression, like a professional camera
• No loss of quality: it is optical zoom, not digital. At 5x the quality is as good as at 1x

Previous iPhones offered a maximum of 3x optical zoom. The jump to 5x makes a huge difference in practice.

iPhone 15 Pro Max vs iPhone 15 Pro

The biggest difference in 2026: the 5x zoom is exclusive to the Pro Max. The iPhone 15 Pro only has 3x. If distance photography matters, only the Pro Max will do. If you don't need 5x, see the refurbished iPhone 15 Pro in stock.

On top of that: larger screen (6.7" vs 6.1") and better battery (29h vs 23h video playback). Refurbished prices start at 624.99 € (Pro Max) vs 515.99 € (Pro).

iPhone 15 Pro Max vs iPhone 16: do you need the new one?

The base iPhone 16 (launched at €989) has the A18 chip and Camera Control, but does not have 5x zoom, no 120Hz ProMotion display, no LiDAR and no Always-On Display.

The refurbished iPhone 15 Pro Max at 624.99 € offers more features than the brand-new iPhone 16, launched at €989. Unless you specifically need the A18 chip for advanced Apple Intelligence, the 15 Pro Max is the superior choice, and cheaper.

Frequently asked questions

Does the refurbished iPhone 15 Pro Max have a warranty?

Yes. At iOutlet, 24 months warranty on all refurbished iPhone 15 Pro Max models. Covers hardware faults and includes 14 days for return without justification.

Is the Pro Max USB-C USB 3?

Yes. The iPhone 15 Pro Max has USB-C with USB 3 speed (up to 10 Gbps). This allows you to transfer files and ProRes video 20 times faster than Lightning. The USB 3 cable is sold separately; the included cable is USB 2.0.

Which button did the Action Button replace?

The Action Button replaced the silent switch. By default it works as silent, but you can configure it for camera, torch, voice memos, Focus modes or shortcuts. It is customisable in settings.

Does the iPhone 15 Pro Max run AAA games?

Yes. The A17 Pro chip with hardware ray tracing runs games such as Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4, Assassin's Creed Mirage and Death Stranding natively.

How long will it receive iOS support?

Based on Apple's track record, the iPhone 15 Pro Max should receive iOS updates until at least 2030-2031. That is another 4-5 years of guaranteed software support.

For most people, yes. If you record a lot of ProRes 4K video (which takes roughly 6 GB per minute), consider 512 GB or 1 TB. For photos, apps and everyday use, 256 GB is more than sufficient.

The refurbished smartphone market grew by 12.5% in 2024, reaching $67.84 billion globally (Mordor Intelligence, 2024). Apple supports iPhones with updates for 5 to 6 years after launch (Macworld, 2026).
