Why a refurbished iPhone 14 in 2026?

The iPhone 14 occupies a privileged position in the refurbished market: it's recent enough to have all modern features (5G, eSIM, Crash Detection, Photonic Engine) yet affordable enough to fit budgets from 302.99 €

Compared with its launch price in Portugal (€1,039), you save hundreds of euros. Unlike the iPhone 12 or 11, the iPhone 14 is expected to receive Apple software support until at least 2029, with several more years of updates expected.

Who is it for?

• Those who want the best price-to-longevity balance: more years of support than the iPhone 12 or 13, for less money than the 15
• Those who value safety: Crash Detection and Emergency SOS via satellite are features that could save your life
• Those who take lots of low-light photos: Photonic Engine dramatically improved night photography
• Controlled budget: the most complete iPhone in the €300-€450 range

iPhone 14 technical specifications

Refurbished iPhone 14 prices by grade

iPhone 14 (128 GB)

All grades include 24-month warranty, battery health tested with specialist technical software, and a 14-day return period. The difference between Grade C and Grade A is purely cosmetic: performance is identical.

Top tip: iPhone 14 Pro

The refurbished iPhone 14 Pro (from 435.99 €) is often priced close to the base iPhone 14. For the difference, you get a 48MP camera, Dynamic Island, a 120Hz screen and Always-On Display; compare both prices before deciding.

What do the condition grades mean?

• Grade Premium: pristine condition, no visible marks
• Grade A: excellent: tiny, barely noticeable marks
• Grade AB: very good: light signs of use
• Grade B: good: signs of use on the casing
• Grade BC: acceptable: more noticeable marks
• Grade C Plus: functional: moderate visible marks
• Grade C: functional: significant marks, lowest price

The hardware, software, and warranty are identical across all grades.

Refurbished iPhone 14 vs iPhone 13

The difference between the iPhone 13 and 14 is more subtle than between previous generations. If you find an iPhone 13 significantly cheaper, it may make sense. But at the same price, the iPhone 14 wins for its front camera, safety features, and longevity.

iPhone 14 vs iPhone 15: do I need to upgrade?

The iPhone 15 brought three major changes over the 14: USB-C (replacing Lightning), a 48MP camera (4× more resolution), and Dynamic Island on the base model.

If you still have Lightning cables and do not mind, if 12MP is enough for you and you do not care about Dynamic Island, the iPhone 14 (from 302.99 €) is priced well below the iPhone 15 (from 406.99 €).

If USB-C matters to you (one cable for everything), the refurbished iPhone 15 is the better choice.

Which iPhone 14 should I choose?

• iPhone 14 (from 302.99 €): the right balance for most people. 6.1" display, capable camera, great price. Recommended
• iPhone 14 Plus (from 343.99 €): larger screen (6.7") and the best battery in the base 14 range. For those who watch a lot of video
• iPhone 14 Pro (from 435.99 €): 48MP, Dynamic Island, 120Hz and Always-On Display. Compare it with the base model before deciding
• iPhone 14 Pro Max (from 466.99 €): the flagship. 6.7" 120Hz display, best battery and full Pro camera system

Is the iPhone 14 camera good?

The iPhone 14 camera is 12MP with Photonic Engine, which significantly improves low-light photos. For social media, everyday photography, and 4K video it's more than sufficient. If photography is a priority, the iPhone 14 Pro (48MP) starts from 435.99 €

Lightning or USB-C?

The iPhone 14 uses Lightning. If you already have Lightning cables and don't mind, it's not an issue. If you want USB-C (the same cable as your laptop, iPad, and Android devices), consider the refurbished iPhone 15 from 406.99 €.

The available payment methods appear at checkout and depend on the billing country. Multibanco, MB WAY and FLOA are available only to customers in Portugal. FLOA allows payment in 3 or 4 instalments there; Klarna is available in the countries where it is offered at checkout.

The refurbished smartphone market grew 12.5% in 2024, reaching $67.84 billion globally (Mordor Intelligence, 2024). Apple supports iPhones with updates for 5 to 6 years after launch (Macworld, 2026).
