Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between resizing and compressing?
Resizing changes the dimensions in pixels (e.g. 4000px to 1920px). Compressing reduces the file weight without changing the dimensions. For very large photos, resizing cuts the most.
Will the photo's proportions be distorted?
No. Width and height are reduced together, so the photo is never stretched.
Are my photos sent to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser. No photo leaves your device.
