Is there a limit on files or size?
We set no limit. As everything runs in your browser, the only limit is your device's memory.
Do the files get smaller?
Documents and text, yes, quite a bit. Photos and videos that are already compressed barely shrink, but they all end up in one file.
Do the files leave my device?
No. The compression happens in your browser.
