It seems the rumours were indeed true: on 8 March 2022, Apple held its first event of the year to unveil the company's latest announcements, known for its distinctive apple-shaped logo.
As Apple has accustomed us to in previous events, the latest innovations were revealed, showcasing the best the brand has prepared. Directly from Cupertino, from Apple Park, Tim Cook unveiled the new products that will arrive on the market soon. Many announcements... but will they surprise us?
Let's get to the point:
To start with, as expected, a new version of the iPhone SE arrived – one of the most eagerly anticipated products by fans.
As for its appearance, it maintains an identical design to its predecessor, with the Home button, a 4.7-inch screen and a single 12-megapixel rear camera.
Hold on, there's more: the big reveal is inside.
It's expected to be a more powerful device, enhanced with 5G, featuring an A15 Bionic processor and promising longer battery life.
It arrives on the market on the 18th with prices starting at €529.
Alongside this new iPhone launch, a new colour was confirmed for the iPhone 13 range. Green will be available for both the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13, as well as the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, although these pairs feature slightly different shades.
But that's not all!
Also eagerly anticipated was the unveiling of the new iPad Air. The central focus is its performance, whether for work or play. The new model features an M1 processor – the same processor as the iPad Pro – and claims to be twice as fast as any other Windows 11 laptop in this segment.
With a 12 MP ultra-wide front camera, 5G connectivity and many other high-end features, the iPad Air will arrive on the market, also on the 18th, starting from €709.
Finally, the American company released a new version of its M1 processor, the M1 Ultra – an even faster component.
Along with the new processor version comes a computer: the Mac Studio – which, according to Apple Portugal's website, can cost up to around €9,800. A new computer that guarantees greater power and performance, featuring a minimalist design and multiple ports for connecting other equipment – SD card, USB and USB-C, HDMI, Ethernet and audio. As for the 27-inch monitor, a 5K resolution is expected, with a 12MP camera, six speakers and three microphones.
